The more I deal with people, the more I come to the conclusion that one of the main problems in today's society is dishonesty. Now you may go, Duuh!, but really, have you ever stopped and thought about it? Almost everybody lies. Some people lie about stuff they wouldn't even have to lie about, and you never really know what to believe. It lures people into thinking that maybe there is no real truth and you can not believe what anybody says. It is very frustrating when you try to witness, or even when trying to help people. What a perfect weapon of the enemy and he's using it full blast to his advantage. How utterly confused people are, once you see it it's apalling.
I think there must be more emphasis also in Christian circles on truth and integrity. There should not be a hint or shadow of deceit among brothers and sisters. God hates it! Even what people call "little white lies". The more of it we have in our lives, the harder it is to see the truth and to know God's will. He wants our full obedience in this area!
