UPDATE!!!!

Hi everyone! I'm not sure how many people are actually reading here, but I haven't been around in a while. Sorry, if I made it look abandoned. Things are still going strong.

We actually changed the name of our ministry to Third Day Training Centre. Just too many senior places around named New Horizon... too bad, that was so fitting.

Anyway, here's a peek at the new website I'm working on. Not finished by far, but an idea of where we're going with this.

Oh God most glorious, how much I praise your holy Name, you are a great and awesome God! The Lord has shown me great things today. I thought I knew. I figured I understand. But I was blind. My intellectual agreement with facts is nothing compared to knowing the truth in my heart, to seeing the Glory with my spiritual eyes. "Where the Spririt of the Lord is there is freedom". Freedom I had never even imagined! "I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly". ...

Getting nervous....

Finally! The school buildings that we have been waiting for are coming up for tender. Starting Saturday until December 19. It is nerve wrecking! Now we'll find out if we heard God right and where He wants to have us. It will take a miracle for them to accept our low bid. We'll know it is from God when we get it anyway. Please pray that we are at the centre of His will, and not standing in His way. This is so crucial, we can't even tell you how important it is.

It's funny, in 25 years of knowing Eugene, I saw him read maybe two books. Well, in the last eight month or so, he must have read a dozen. Aaaand.....bought probably 30! He can't even keep up with reading all the books he buys. We're building a library here, folks. I'm talking christian books of course, and not novels either. It's great, it gives us so much to talk about and discuss, and it gives Eugene much to think about during the many hours behind the wheel.

Eugene had to get off the road in southern Manitoba because of the snow storm. I'm sitting here, looking out the window, with not a snow flake in sight and find it hard to imagine a place that is buried under the white stuff. He counted 16 (!) trucks and trailers in the ditch, two of them actually overturned, but only two or three cars. It reminds us again of how dangerous this truck driving is. So brothers and sisters, be careful! Slow down and get off the road if necessary, it's not worth risking ...

We made it until a hundred km's out of Calary, then BOOM that was it for my engine too. Needed to be towed, mission accomplished, delivered produce in time and dropped truck at dealership.

Now I know how Dave was feeling, lol. Only difference, I was on home turff (Canada). Dave flew home and I got a ride by another Fastrax Driver, another chance to testify. Praise the Lord.

Thanks to God, I had the chance to spend Thanksgiving with my family and church. Pray that the Lord will give ...

I have been asked to teach the Grades 1-3 Sunday School class in our church. Tomorrow is the first day. This is a greater responsibility than what it may seem at first. I'm taking this seriously. Sure, I want to have fun with the kids, but most of all I want them to really come to know and love Jesus, not just to entertain them with forgetable little games. Please pray for me that I may allow the Holy Spirit to speak and act through me, That the children's hearts and minds may be transformed ...

Society's disease

The more I deal with people, the more I come to the conclusion that one of the main problems in today's society is dishonesty. Now you may go, Duuh!, but really, have you ever stopped and thought about it? Almost everybody lies. Some people lie about stuff they wouldn't even have to lie about, and you never really know what to believe. It lures people into thinking that maybe there is no real truth and you can not believe what anybody says. It is very frustrating when you try to witness, or even ...

I'm originally from Switzerland where I met this crazy husband of mine and we immigrated to Canada in 1992. We have two lovely daughters, 17 and 19, and that means one more year before they're both off to the big world and hubby and I start a new era in life. Perfect timing of the Lord as always, as it goes together great with his call to full time service. I'm so exited about the things that are happening in our Christian lives that other stuff that once might have been deemed important just ...

I know that some people are reading here even though they're not posting. What's up, are you shy?

Anywhoooo.....we had a Bible Study last night and someone made the statement, that if we do not ask forgivenes for a certain sin, it is still on us. Now, if Jesus did His job on the cross, and I know He did, then that sin is forgiven and can not be upon you, can it? Asking forgiveness for a sin in my opinion is necessary and scriptural but has more to do with justification. Sort of like standing ...

Hey all. Eugene is on the road to Sacramento to pick up a buddy whose motor blew up. Good for Eugene (driving without a trailer), bad for his friend. He is a Christian brother too and needs your prayers! It's gotta be hard if your truck goes while you're such a long way from home, I can only imagine how frustrated Eugene would be in that situation. Also pray that the two will have a safe trip back and a great time of fellowship and sharing.

Lord my God, I am so exited about this new opportunity to communicate with friends across the continent. Thank you Jesus for all the doors you are opening for us. I pray that your blessing will rest upon this board, that it will bring glory to your holy Name, that we will grow more into the likeness of Jesus our Lord.
Since we generally invite folks to this board, you probably know who Eugene is and I am his humble, little wife. You can find out more about us from the New Horizon website, although it's a project in the making, and more will be added. By now you probably wonder why you hear more from me than from Eugene online. Well, that's because he types like a turtle, but mostly, he's busy driving, as you all know. We greatly desire to see God's Spirit working here among us. His kingdom come!
